Fauske Marble By Moser
Fauske Marble By Moser is the brand Norwegian Rose Marble Quarry AS markets its marble nationally and internationally. The marble quarries in Løgavlen was started in 1882. The marble from the quarry is world-renowned.
The quarry is 3 km north of Fauske centre. View with sign above the quarry. Possibility of parking if the vocational school is closed. Walk carefully.

Koloritt
Koloritt Marmorbudd AS and Fauske Marble by Moser share the same story at the beginning. The floor in Nidaros Cathedral in Norway from the 1890s is well known. In 1969, Arnt Braset bought back the rights to the marble and started Koloritt.
The quarry is 8 km south of Fauske centre. Restarted in 1969. Narrow road, walk carefully.

Ankerske
Ankerske Naturstein AS also has the same history as Fauske Marble By Susan Moser. The factory was built in 1906 and has since been in operation. Before that time, all marble was exported.
The factory is 500 m east of Fauske centre.

Omya
Omya Hustadmarmor AS avd Hammerfall Dolomitt mines dolomite marble in the Furuli quarry. The Omya quarry is located next to the Norwegian Rose marble quarry. Crushed dolomite marble has been exported since the 1950s.
The quarry is 3 km north of Fauske centre. The quarry can be seen from the road.
The Furli quarry was one of the first quarries in Løgavlen.
Today, marble is mined 200 m below the surface of the marble quarry. More later>
